We rely on support from volunteers of all ages to provide our scholars with a summer experience they will never forget.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS (age 16 and older)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEENS (Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th Graders)
High school students (only 10th grade through rising 12th grade) can volunteer without parental supervision and are invited to apply for a leadership role on the Shalom Park Freedom School Teen Board. Teen Board members volunteer as school assistants, committing to at least two consecutive weeks. Assistants work five days a week, from 8:15 am – 3:15pm (Mon-Fri). Responsibilities include: working in classrooms, accompanying teachers and students on field trips, planning activities for the classroom, securing and delivering supplies, and other assistance as needed. Swimming with scholars may be required. Teen Board members also fundraise to sponsor a young scholar for the summer.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG TEENS (Rising 7th, 8th, or 9th Graders
Younger Teens (rising 7th, 8th or 9th graders) must be accompanied by a parent or other adult, who has completed the volunteer registration process, when volunteering onsite and offsite. The parent or adult is responsible for the younger teen’s safety and compliance with Freedom School safety and behavior standards. Adults can sign up themselves and the young teen they are supervising.
Younger teens with their parents can volunteer with Level 1 (K-2) classes. Volunteer opportunities include On-site Activities, Field Trip Chaperone, Videography/Photography, Site Set-Up/Break-Down, Supply Drive, Field Day Support, Parent Evenings, Finale, and Appreciation Bags for Interns.
Volunteering at Shalom Park Freedom School makes an ideal B’nei Mitzvah Project! Please ask your clergy to put you in contact with the Shalom Park Freedom School representatives.
